On Monday, April 30th OHK Grangers had the distinct honor of hosting a ceremony in which the first 10 girls were welcome into the Cub Scouts in Edina, MN. During the historic ceremony in the Minnehaha Grange Hall the girls signed a membership document that was submitted to the Edina Historical Society to commemorate the event. These 10 female pioneers are part of an early adopter pilot program – more girls are expected to join this fall, when new scouts typically sign up.
During the evening these ten trail blazing girls and their families heard remarks from OHK Grange President T.J. Malaskee and Edina Mayor Jim Hovland. Grangers and their families alike were moved by this historic ceremony.
